Indian Pangolin (Manis crassicaudata)

Two Indian Pangolins were introduced to the newly constructed Pangolin enclosure in Pinnawala zoo on 17.01.2023. It is one of the most trafficked mammals in the world. There are 8 Pangolin species in the world and the Indian pangolin (Manis crassicaudata) is the one in Sri Lanka.

The Arabian Oryx (Oryx leucoryx)

The Oryx cow, which was commonly found in the semi-deserts of the Middle East, is an animal that is under threat of extinction. Now you can observe and learn about the Arabian Oryx at Pinnawala Zoo.

Royal Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris)

Now you can meet one of the biggest members of the cat family at the Pinnawala Zoo. One pair of Royal Bengal Tigers; Robin and Rosy were introduced to Pinnawala Zoo in July 2022.
