Volunteer Programme

The Volunteer Programme of the Department of National Zoological Gardens offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about wildlife conservation, animal welfare, and environmental education to actively contribute to meaningful conservation initiatives.

Through this programme, volunteers can support animal care, visitor awareness activities, environmental programmes, and conservation-related projects while gaining valuable practical experience and professional knowledge in the field of zoological and wildlife management.
The programme welcomes nature enthusiasts, students, and individuals dedicated to protecting Sri Lanka’s rich biodiversity to become part of the national mission of wildlife conservation and sustainable environmental stewardship.
